Cream of Potato soup with roasted Garlic flakes

Garlic one of healthy component in cooking.and many sri lankans used garlic in there meals.and curries always flavored.garlic also used as a thickening agent in cooking.love to have garlic in my recipes all the time.this is garlic cream comenly used much in all over the world. enjoy this recipe and let us know your comments.

Ingredients
  • 25 g garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 25 g celery
  • 200 g  potato
  • 1 tsp cumin seed
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 200 ml vegetable stock
  • 25 ml fresh cream
  • dill leaves
  • salt and pepper

Method

  1. heat the pan,add butter and saute onion and celery.add the garlic next with cumin seed.
  2. add diced potato in to the pan.stir once.add the vegetable stock and bring it to boil,add chilli powder too.
  3. let soup to be cooked,then allow to cool.
  4. bland the soup,bring the soup in to boil again.add cream in to it.
  5. season with salt and pepper

Note
Do not boil the soup after add cream.just simmer for few minutes.keep on sliced garlic to used as a garnish.roast the garnish in the oven.be careful with the time.i have used vegetable stock here.if you want add free to used chicken stock
