Many potato dishes are famous around the world.curried potato almost fed up of eating in asia.but we do baking dishes to give new experience for your dinner table.this is ideal recipe, which is minimize oil.and healthy meal is part of the dinner table.this is used as a side dish to main.even the kids can have this as there main meal.inset of rice,you will be enjoy my potato cake.lets try this recipe,

Method

  1. Put oven rack in middle position and preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Bake potatoes in a large shallow baking pan until tender when pierced with a sharp knife, about 1  hours. Transfer to a rack to cool completely, then chill, uncovered
  3. Peel potatoes, then shred with slicer into a bowl. Coarsely grate onion on large teardrop-shaped holes of a box grater, then wrap in 2 layers of paper towels and squeeze gently to remove excess moisture. Toss together potatoes, onion and other all ingredients  with a fork.
  4. Heat 2 tablespoons butter and 1 tablespoon oil in a 7- to 8-inch nonstick pan  over moderately high heat until foam subsides, then add potatoes, spreading them evenly and tamping them down with a rubber spatula. Reduce heat to moderate and cook  underside is golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  5. Wearing oven mitts, invert a flat plate over pan, Add remaining 2 tablespoons butter and remaining tablespoon oil to pan and heat until foam subsides, then slide  back into pot with rubber spatula. Cook until underside is golden brown, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board and cut into round  shape

Note
when  you baked be careful potato can be burn,and it will be a reson to get burn flavor.use high quality potatoes.do not add extra cream,then will be a reason thick potato cream.
