Poach Reef Fish with lemon Cream sauce

This is simple and delicious Dish.many people love to have this .always fresh fish ideal for this cooking method.in sri lankan we do lot of curries.but not much poach dishes.something new to local palate.and low Calari levels make very good for health.and ideal for Dinner with some brown rolls.even you can make the sauce in to more spicy.let’s try the recipe.

  1. In a pot, combine the water, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and bay leaf; bring to a boil. Add the  fish fillet ; simmer, covered, for 7 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Remove the fish from the pot; reserve the poaching liquid.
  2. Discard the bay leaf. Cut or break cooked fish into bite-size pieces.
  3. In the same pot, sauté the mushrooms and green onion in the butter until just tender.Remove from heat; stir in flour. Cook a few minutes, stirring constantly
  4. Gradually blend in the reserved poaching liquid. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until thickened. Blend in half-and-half, poached fish, lemon peel, and nutmeg; heat.
  5. Sprinkle with additional sliced green onion

Add some fresh cream if necessary.mainly importing the fish cooking time.and always use fresh fish,reaf fish give very nice texture .make well flavor stock to poach the fish.
