Saute Calamari with Peppers and Mukunuwenna

Baby calamari can be found through out  the year in our island. Saute calamari with pepper and tomato is a mouth watering quick dish for dinner and at cocktails in sri lanka.

  1. Take a pan & heat some oil,add the ginger and garlic paste saute for few minutes.
  2. add cleaned calamari in to the pan,saute for 2 two minutes, then add the  color peppers &.mixed well.
  3. Then add chopped tomatoes and mix followed with chili flakes and tumaric.
  4. put a lid on the pan and cook for few minutes on slow fire, then add salt and pepper to taste.


This could be prepared as a curry by adding a bit of thick coconut milk., but i recommend and prefer this prepared as a quick dish to preserve the texture in the calamri.
