Cuttle fish white curry

Cuttle fish curry is one of famous curry in sri lanka.it.s easy and quick.most sri lankan domestic housewife prepared this in a claypot.today chef Duminda going to demonstrate this recipe to the public.
Ingredients
  • 200 g calamari /cuttle fish
  • 1 onion sliced
  • some chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • Rampe and curry leaves
  • 1 tsp tumaric powder
  • 1 tap fenugreek seeds
  • 3 tsp  vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 100 ml coconut milk
  • salt
  • pepper
  • few drops of lime juice
  • chopped coriander leaves

Method

  1. Heat the pan add rampe/curry leaves onion,garlic,ginger and fenugreeek ,saute for few minutes
  2. add cuttle fish and fallow with tumaric,chilli and curry powder accordingly.
  3. add coconut milk and bring it to boil and simmer for 3 minutes
  4. finally add salt and pepper.
  5. add lime juice after switch of the fire.and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

Note
Do not over cook the cuttle fish.maximum cooking time is 5 minutes to get the real flavor.
